"What to do if I don’t get the ATAR into my preferred degree?"

Did you know that you can still get into 2nd Year at Curtin University into your preferred Degree by doing your 1st year on campus at Curtin College?

Fill out the form to the right and we'll respond to you shortly.

Here's how it works:

Curtin College will accept you with a slightly lower ATAR score than the mainstream Curtin University 1st year degree programs. In your first year, you’ll study a Higher Education Diploma on campus, in much smaller classes for most of the courses. This will give you the extra attention you need to get through the first year, then join your friends in Year 2 of the Bachelor degree.

You won’t lose any time and can still graduate with your Curtin Degree!

Choose from a wide range of courses including Commerce, Architecture, Design, IT, Mass Communication, Engineering, Mining Engineering and Health Sciences.

As an approved Higher Education provider, Curtin College is eligible to offer FEE-HELP places for its Diploma courses. Certificate IV Tertiary Preparation Program and Tertiary Access Program units are not covered by FEE-HELP and fees must be paid up front.

There are still a few places left for Feb 2012 semester start.

Don’t wait. Enquire to see if the course you are interested in is offered at Curtin College.

  1. Increasing popularity with Year 11 and Year 12 students
2011 statistics showed a 300% increase in domestic student enrolment at Curtin College

  2. Smaller classes for the first year and free support programs
You get the opportunity to study in a smaller class size model for most of the courses at Curtin College, and in Year 2 you join your friends back at mainstream University and you graduate with the same Curtin Degree!

  3. Save time
The Diploma, which is the equivalent of Year 1, can be completed in 8 – 12 months for most courses, meaning you may get to progress to Year 2 a little quicker.

  4. Access to facilities on Western Australia’s largest university campus
Curtin College students study on Curtin University’s main campus in Bentley and receive access to the University’s facilities such as the gym, cafes, library and Guild Associate membership

  5. Opportunity to work casual/ part-time
Classes at Curtin College run full-time on campus, however this equates to approximately 20 hours of contact time at the College, so you could still work part-time if required (but remember study should always be put a priority!)

5 things you need to know:

After Curtin College I joined year two of the Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science) at Curtin University. What is my favourite thing about Curtin College? Making friends from all over the world.
