In Canada your child will have access to on-campus and off-campus accommodations, and homestay. There are a number of accommodation options available depending on what they’re looking for and their budget.
On Campus Accommodation
Living in Residence is a great way for your child to get involved in the many programs and activities available on campus, meet new people who will become lifelong friends, have easy access to classes, and other facilities at their partner university. Most residences are close to campus and offer:
Off Campus Homestay
For many students, the opportunity to stay with a Canadian family, off-campus and in the community, offers special appeal. As a homestay student, your child will have the chance to be a part of a family, taking part in family activities and celebrating special occasions. All families are within commuting distance of ICM or FIC.
Homestay includes three meals per day, a bedroom, internet access and local phone calls. Homestay is a great option if your child is under 18 when arriving in Canada and requiring a custodian.
Private Accommodation: Off Campus
A wide range of off-campus accommodation is available in Canada, including private rentals and shared accommodation. Your child can connect with current students on the ICM Facebook page and FIC Facebook page to find new housemates and accommodation.
