The Navitas Academic Merit Scholarship is awarded each semester to the most outstanding results from two students across all programs at a Navitas Pathway College or Managed Campus.
The scholarships are one academic semester or part thereof (equivalent to the maximum of up to five academic subjects) for a Navitas Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree. Any additional costs, including travel or material such as books or equipment required as part of program will be the recipient's responsibility. For programs that articulate directly into a university degree program, the scholarship will cover only the Navitas member institute components of the program for the semester.
Selection will be based on:
Students are not required to apply for the scholarship as it is awarded based on academic performance and ALL students are eligible.
SFU awards a $3500 scholarship to all FIC students who obtain a GPA of 3.7 out of 4 or higher when they progress to SFU. This scholarship is exclusively for FIC students.
The Susan Dean Memorial Scholarship program was established in honour of ICM’s first College Director and Principal, Susan Deane, and her significant contributions to both Navitas in Canada and the education sector more broadly in Manitoba.
One scholarship will be awarded each semester. The value of each scholarship during 2015/16 is C$5,500 and in future years will be adjusted for changes in tuition fees.
The student is chosen by a selection committee based on cumulative GPA as well as their contributions to ICM and the community.
Students must submit a completed Application Form, their curriculum vitae, 3 letters of support (e.g., from ICM staff, UM academic staff, students). Only one can originate from outside ICM and their Academic transcript. All documentation must be received by the College Director by the deadline date established for each competition. If the deadline falls on a weekend or a holiday, it will be the next business day.
